This is the dress for anyone who wants the elegance of a beautiful midi dress but craves the comfort of their favourite t-shirt. We made it happen by combining a top made from super-soft, stretchy jersey with a full, sweeping skirt crafted from lightweight woven cotton with beautiful Broderie Anglaise embroidery. The result is a dress that’s a dream to wear, with a top that is wonderfully accommodating for every bust size.

We designed it with thoughtful details from top to bottom. It has a comfortable elasticated waistband for an easy fit and a V-neckline at both the front and back. The short sleeves feature elegant, adjustable ruching down the shoulder seams, finished with a classic tie detail. And of course, we included our deep and practical side pockets.

The outer dress is lovely but the inner underskirt is tight with no stretch

The outer dress is lovely but the inner underskirt is tight with no stretch. I was a bit disappointed in this as it looks stunning but the underskirt is several sizes smaller than the outer broderie anglaise lace skirt. It's very stiff underskirt with no stretch or give to it so beware if you are between sizes or order smaller than normal.

Lovely.

I love this dress. However I had to sew up the sides. The original design left my side and bra exposed. A couple of minutes on the sewing machine fixed it.

Bad fitting arms and underskirt with no stretch

Really disappointed. This dress is beautiful, but it has two problems:

1. They seem to have done the classic bad plus size design thing of taking a pattern and simply scaling up everything, resulting in massive arm holes. I expect this from a cheap shop, but not from here, which supposedly actually thinks about plus size bodies. I needed the dress soon, and so chose to pay to get it altered rather than return it - we reduced the arm hole by about 50%.

2. The sizing advice is misleading. It says "Designed with stretchy side panels at the chest and waist and with a loose fit at the hips. If you are between sizes, we suggest you buy based on your bust measurement." This is inaccurate. The top and waist are stretchy, and the outer skirt is loose, but there's an underskirt with zero stretch, cut fairly straight. Luckily I got away with it, but the underskirt definitely feels 'there' (so there's not the nice feel of a full skirt) This could easily have been avoided if they'd just cut the underskirt closer to the shape of the outer skirt (although from this specific company, I would really expect an underskirt with some stretch)
