2026 isn't just another year, it's a whole colour revolution. We’re no longer dressing just to be seen, we’re dressing to feel something.
If the term “dopamine dressing” doesn't sound familiar, let's break it down! Dopamine dressing means wearing colours, textures, and different styles in ways that boost your mood and brighten your day. It's about getting the most out of dressing for happiness, in a way that makes you confident, joyful, and energised. And if you know me, you know this philosophy is at the core of everything I do.
Let me introduce myself - I’m Andrea, Europe’s Colour Storyteller. I’m a colour stylist, content creator, and visual storyteller who has been building a vibrant community on Instagram for the past 4 years. My signature style? Playful silhouettes, bold colour combinations, and whimsical looks with COLOUR at the centre of it all. There’s nothing I love more than seeing people rediscover the joy of dressing through colour.
Building Joyful Looks
When it comes to creating expressive outfits, there are a few key pieces I always reach for, and colourful tights from Snag are at the top of that list.
My current top three favourites? 30 Denier Sheer Tights in Craic, 80 Denier Opaque Tights in Woodcut Clouds, and 80 Denier Opaque Tights in Sugar Plum. Each one brings a completely different energy, and that’s the beauty of colour!

Wear colour as much as you can
From running errands to office looks, include at least one colourful piece in your outfit. Even at work, add a colourful scarf to your bag or a colourful tie to a serious office ensemble.
Be bold, express how you feel through colours. Go for pink for a feminine look, or yellow for a happy vibe. Endless possibilities!

Use colour combinations
They're lifesavers when you don't know what to wear. Some of my favourite colour combinations include pink + green, pink + red, baby blue + yellow, orange + green, and orange + purple.

Don't follow trends unless they represent you
Instead, go for unique pieces that are a joy to style. Invest in statement coats, colourful tights, and fun patterns that don't go out of style easily.
As someone who constantly dresses for joy, I look for pieces that make me happy instantly. Like sequin skirts!
Last week, I wore mine to brunch with a chunky knit and felt absolutely electric. Who says sequins are only for special occasions?
Andrea's Styling Tips For Colourful Tights
Colourful tights may seem bold at first glance, but they’re surprisingly versatile. Here’s how I style my favourites from Snag:
-
Use their colour as an anchor. Pick that colour and build a monochrome look around it. When I styled the Sugar Plum tights in a full pink outfit, the result felt cohesive, playful, and quirky.
-
Style colourful tights with short dresses, short or medium-length skirts, or even shorts. Keep the tights as the star of your outfit and don't cover them too much.
-
Pick a contrasting colour and have fun building a colour-blocking look. Colour-blocking means wearing multiple articles of solid-coloured clothing in a single outfit - traditionally, two or three different, but complementary colours together.
Like when I paired Snag’s 30 Denier Sheer Tights in shade Craic with my pink skirt, using pink and green as a colour-blocking combo.
- Use flat shoes, kitten heels, or ankle boots for your outfits. Let the tights do the styling for you!
Remember: colour is your superpower. Use it. Own it. Make it YOURS.
